Introduction
The longbreed are a race of elves who has exiled to the depth of the Dark Deep, a huge cave system under the Lunatara Continent. They are the strongest race on Terra, except for the Drakelings. They grow stringer with each new generation and the have powerful innate abilities such as the Dance of Doom, or the use of Wild Magic. They are naturally cold and unsocial, and are unable of having the emotion of hate, and by living in the Dark Deep they have been forced to spend all their lives defending their cities from the demons of Ars Goetia.
History
The longbreed is the strongest of the Elven races who have evolved and trained in secrecy in the deepest part of the Dark Deep. They have few allies, the only ones being the Deep Humans with whom they just recently gained contact.
The birth of the World
At the dawn of Terra, Lumati god of nature, decided that he would create a people more intelligent than the animal life Auriell had already created. These creatures became a copy of himself and his two siblings, Zens and Kronos. He called them the Elves, and as they evolved they split into four separate groups who evolved into getting their own powers and features as the millenniums went by. The Wood Elves stayed with their god and tended to the nature, while the Dark Elves who had gained the dark skin of Lumati's sister began worshiping her and moved to other lands far away on the Lunatara Continent and the Aerial elves were forgotten in time. The longbreed however evolved stronger with each new generation and would soon flee from the fate of the other races.
Act of Jealousy
Kronos, who had always compared himself to his brother were now jealous as Lumati's powers over nature was able to create life, while his powers over time and space did not have the power to do so. He gained the help of the Dark Soul, whose real name had been lost in time, and together they worked to destroy the elves in silence. They gave them the ability to feel anger and hate, and this quickly spread across all the elven races except the Longbreed, who were unaffected and in an attempt to get away from their newly made enemies hid themselves in the large cave system known as the Dark Deep.
The longest Journey
The longbreeds journey down into the Dark Deep was a hard one. Under the leadership of Lord Zalkas they packed their belongings in long caravans and began their journey. Their first encounter was with the Trolls, Goblins and Orcs, who called themselves the Black Blood races. However these underdeveloped creatures were no match for the longbreeds, who quickly forced them out of the Dark Deep and started their own history on the surface of Terra. The longbreeds continued their journey down below, and on their way they found a huge stone tower in the depths, and the master of the tower greeted them and gave the longbreed his advice.
A strangers word
The strange dark figure who was the master of the tower seemed to have much knowledge about the world. Bearing no marks on any specific race on Terra, he was a mystical being to the longbreed but his advices seemed solid, ans Lord Zalkas decided to trust him. Thye were told to venture as deep as they could into the dark, where they would find a place that would be perfect to build an empire. They would have a hard time however as they would be close to Ars Goetia, home of the 72 Demon Lords, but this would make them grow even stronger for each coming generation and as a result they were told to be the final weapon to restore the order on Terra.
The empire
As foretold, the longbreed found an enormous oval-shaped cave in which they decided to build their empire. As a thanks for his leadership, Lord Zalkas got a castle built for him in the end of cave which he promptly named Castle Zalkas. Around this castle the longbreed capital was built, Azforia, and as a protective measure they built an enormous wall around the city to protect it from the foretold demons.
Surt, the Demon Lord
Just months after their capital was started, the demons came as predicted. Led by Surt the demon came in large waves against the longbreed capital, but they were prepared and could hold the demons of enough to keep their city safe.The coming several hundred years they would fight hard against these demons, who neither diminished or grew in strength.
A small aid
As the events on Terra had come to its greatest time a new aid appeared to the longbreed. A downside of the Wood Elves creation of the Humans were the Deep Humans, a particularly strong sub-race of humans who easily escaped the Wood Elven slavery and ventured into the Dark Deep. As they build settlements in the deepest parts of the place the faced with the longbreed, who quickly became a apreciated ally against the demons of the Dark Deep.
Notable Longbreed
- Lord Zalkas - Leader of the Longbreed and owner of Castle Zalkas.
- Elrien - One of the Longbreed twins. Very skilled in Water Magic as well as her two weapon fighting because of her being Ambidextrous.
- Nazgahal - One of the Longbreed twins. The strongest Guardian ever known in Dark Deep.
